Areva T&D India, the transmission and distribution division of French engineering group Areva SA, has started a large manufacturing plant at Kotambi village on the Vadodara-Halol highway. The company will employ 1,000 workers. Areva has invested Rs. 6 billion in the facility which will produce power and distribution transformers and other power equipment.
